JUNE 4TH, 2018:
The Wagoner Art Alliance’s Summer Art Camp is just over halfway completed and
the work so far by students has been quite artistic, according to director Polly Moore.
The camps just completed include Paint The Masters, Rainbow Zoo, Hanging Around and Monster Mash.
Paint Like Pollack was scheduled for June 5-6 while Painting Picasso is set for June 7-8. The camps are held at the Arts Alliance at 130 S. Main St
“We had several kids sign up for more classes,” Moore said of the response. “And, we had several students from Brighter Futures attend through scholarships.”
In all, nine Brighter Futures students were able to join the creative effort so far. Four more are expected for the last two camps.
“This is our first year to do this and we are pleased with the turnout,” Moore added. “The kids have done a really good job.”
While the first four camps were held in the morning and afternoon, the last two will be morning only.
There are limits to the number of artists that can sign up and Moore urged those interested to go the Arts Alliance website to sign-up and pay online. There is also more information on the Arts Alliance Facebook page.
